"Blonde   Ambition "
Samantha Neild

Driver of Tropic Racing's "Blonde Ambition"
23T Altered Dragster

Samantha began to race at the age of 10 when asked by her stepdad who was himself racing the Altered at that time. She gave it some thought and decided to give it a try. She had been labeled with a learning disability in the third grade, a processing delay problem, with that came a lot of hard work. Once she had made the decision to try racing she never looked back.

The task of building her first Junior Dragster began and she was up to her elbows in the process. Piece by piece, each part and learned how it all got put together. A used race suit was purchased online and a shiny new hemet.... she was ready!
There were a lot of intense training moments, then she finally took her first shot down the track.

She took command and owned the track! Since then there have been many changes.........
At the age of 13 she was able to step it up a notch in et and mph.The little starter dragster wasn't going to "get it" anymore. Another Junior Dragster was then purchased.

As she stepped up her little brother Dalton (8 at the time) got to take over the seat in the little dragster. Samantha taught her brother everything from driving to changing the oil.
At the age of 16 Samantha was eyeing stepdad's racecar.  Asked if she would like to give the Altered a try, it was meant to be.
So Samantha began to be fitted and test up in the Altered. It took one afternoon session in Bradenton and she had earned her Competition License.
Samantha has always shown great responsibility, she has always worked hard in school to overcome her learning disability and she is as her family is, convinced that dragracing is what helped her to learn to focus and concentrate in school.
Samantha has graduated high school in May '09 and is continuing her education in our local State College as a Business Organization and Management Major, she maintains straight A's.

She was nominated for the following awards:
